The celebration of life starts at 2 p.m. and is live streamed on the Musqueam Indian Band\u0027s Facebook page.
According to longtime friend Peter Leech, Odjick was at a Vancouver medical clinic that day to have bandages on his leg replaced, and there were no signs of any heart distress until the last minute.The Canucks player was diagnosed in 2014 with a rare heart condition called amyloidosis, which causes protein deposits in the heart.
Odjick was one of the team’s most beloved players, known for his readiness to drop the gloves for his teammates.Odjick wore jersey 29, a tribute to his father, who was a residential school survivor.
