The 23-year-old Angolan joined the Buccaneers seven months ago but struggled to adapt and secure regular playing time. Gilberto expressed his excitement about returning to a familiar environment, stating, 'I'm back home, a home I know very well and it's to make things happen. The adaptation was a little bit difficult and I also lacked opportunity.

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates are gearing up for this weekend's highly anticipated Soweto derby against Kaizer Chiefs. To enhance the matchday experience and encourage early arrivals, the club has introduced a new concept - a vibrant beer garden located opposite Gate M at FNB Stadium. This festive atmosphere will feature music, celebrations, and a fun-filled environment for fans. The beer garden will open at 11h30 exclusively to ticket holders, with performances powered by the SAB Gig Rig and state-of-the-art sound systems concluding at 14h30. A wide selection of SAB beverages will be available at R40 per 500ml can, with cash and card payments accepted.
