We chat with gilbirmingham about Chief Thomas Rainwater's position going into Yellowstone season 5, including discord on the reservation and Governor Dutton:
Changes are coming to Montana in Yellowstone season 5. John Dutton is set to be governor and he's ready to take on Market Equities and fight for Montana and the Yellowstone Ranch. But where does that leave Gil Birmingham's Chief Thomas Rainwater? Formerly aligned with Market Equities, Rainwater is now in a precarious position as discord threatens to arrive at the reservation, and he's unsure of how Dutton's governorship will affect his community.
Gil Birmingham: I think he's feeling a little pressure on what direction John's going to go. And also the pressure of Angela kind of having an internal push in a more militaristic way. So there's a lot of reassessment that's going to be going on. Despite John being governor, it doesn't look like Market Equities is going anywhere soon. Thomas has allied with John in the past in order to protect Montana. So what can you kind of tease about their relationship this season, and how he's going to react personally to John being governor?
