The 25-year-old was picked up by the Capitals for his raw pace, and boy did the youngster put his talents on display at SuperSport Park in his debut, claiming sparkling figures of 2/15, helping the Capitals bowl out the Super Kings for 99 runs. “The next morning, when I rocked up at the hotel, I was so tired but excited as well, because you watch this amazing tournament on TV – and you think to yourself that you would like to have a crack at it. And to be a part of it was just amazing. I was so excited.”
“Our captain Kyle and Jacksy told me that it was my first game, and I had nothing to lose, just go out there and enjoy yourself, and do what you can do and bowl as quick as you can. If it comes off, it comes off – if it doesn’t, it doesn’t,” said Peters.“But we also said that at the end of the day, you cannot control the results. You can only control your energy and the mood you put out.“And that was what we focused on.
