The Giants started preparations for the Arizona Cardinals Sunday without their second-team All Pro left tackle.

The second-team All Pro left tackle suffered a hamstring injury Sunday night against Dallas during the blocked field goal that was returned for a touchdown at the end of the Giants’ first offensive series. Despite the injury, Thomas continued to play through the first three quarters, but he was eventually removed before the fourth quarter with the Giants trailing 33-0.was also given the day off Wednesday.

If Thomas cannot play, the Giants will have a decision to make at left tackle. Matt Peart is listed as the team’s backup left tackle and he went in for four snaps after Thomas was removed from Sunday’s game in the fourth quarter. Peart, however, also left with an undisclosed injury. The Giants’ third-round pick in 2020 said after the game that he was OK. Daboll said Peart would practice Wednesday.

Josh Ezeudu, who was battling for a spot at left guard during training camp, is also an option at left tackle. He played both left guard and left tackle at the University of North Carolina and the Giants used Ezeudu for their final 14 offensive snaps Sunday after Peart exited.
