Getty Images has issued an explanation as to why an editor's note was flagged on Princess Catherine 's cancer video , following controversy last month over her manipulated Mother's Day picture. In an emotional two-minute video released to the public in late March, the Princess of Wales revealed she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy treatment after a planned abdominal surgery back in January sparked weeks of speculation over her whereabouts.
She explained her medical team at the time believed her condition was non-cancerous following the successful procedure, however tests conducted later found cancer had been present, sending shockwaves around the world. "This of course came as a huge shock and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family," the 42-year-old said, on a bench surrounded by flowers and the sounds of birds chirpin
