Sithole’s qualification as a field officer will enable him to educate communities in rural areas lacking animal welfare knowledge.Furthermore, Sithole will conduct home visits for community members wanting to adopt an animal.“The team is amazing – from the committee members, staff and volunteers are very supportive.
“I am looking forward to every challenge that I might encounter because nothing is difficult for the brave. I consider challenges as character-building moments,” he said.Sithole, who grew up in Wattville, remembers assisting community members with their animals when he was younger. “I would also phone the SPCA whenever there is a stray animal around my community and volunteer at outreaches,” he said.Boksburg SPCA manager Vicky Finnemore congratulated Sithole on his achievement.
“He has proved to be dedicated, loyal, a workhorse and we are honoured to have him on our team. We know he will make a difference,” she said.
