Georgia head coach Kirby Smart has reportedly agreed to a two-year contract extension that will make him the highest-paid coach in college football. According to reports, the three-time SEC Coach of the Year's newest deal includes a $1.75 million raise and bumps his annual salary to $13 million per year, with bonuses up to $1.55 million. Smart signed a 10-year contract with Georgia in 2021 after winning a second national championship that totaled $112.5 million.
Since Smart took over as head coach of the Bulldogs in 2016, the team has won two national titles and two SEC titles. His overall record sits at 94-16, highlighted by a 42-2 run over the past three seasons.
