Gayton McKenzie has vowed not to be another “fat cat” politician after his appointment as Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture. McKenzie, who was initially hoping to secure a role as a minister in the departments of home affairs or police, was sworn in on Wednesday, 2 July.Despite the shock of his appointment, Gayton McKenzie has pledged to hit the ground running as Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture.
He added: “You can’t have such an overweight Minister of Sports, Arts & Culture. I must look like my job”.
