The average price for a gallon of gas in the Harrisburg area on Monday, July 24, 2023, is $3.68 a gallon - 12 cents higher than a week ago, according to GasBuddy. In the Harrisburg area, however, the one week increase was 12 cents a gallon.The average price in Harrisburg, according to GasBuddy, is $3.68. The average on July 17 was $3.56 a gallon. Today’s price, however, is still 84.4 cents a gallon lower than a year ago.
“However, with tremendous heat gripping much of the country, I remain concerned about the fuel that such high temperatures will provide for tropical systems that venture into the Atlantic and Caribbean. The lowest price in the Harrisburg area today, as reported by GasBuddy app users, is $3.43 a gallon at Sam’s Club in Silver Spring Twp. and B.J.’s Wholesale Club in Lower Allen Twp. At Costco in Lower Paxton Twp. and Sam’s Club in Swatara Twp., the price is $3.44 a gallon.the national average price today is $3.60 and the Pa. average is $3.71. AAA said demand recently for gas has been “lackluster.”
