Gary Lineker ‘to return to TV screens and will receive apology’ after storm over anti-Tory tweets
It is understood the corporation will also apologise to the Match Of The Day presenter. The corporation has also agreed to

“Gary is a valued part of the BBC and I know how much the BBC means to Gary, and I look forward to him presenting our coverage this coming weekend.” On Friday The BBC announced that he would ‘step back’ from presenting Match of the Day until there was an ‘agreed and clear position’ on his social media use.
