The former head of Scotland Yard’s Paedophile Unit has said Gary Glitter will ‘probably die in prison’ after being recalled to jail.
Gary Glitter will ‘probably die in prison’ after being recalled to jail, the former head ofGlitter, 78, was released from prison in early February after serving half of a 16-year sentence for sexually abusing three young girls decades ago.
The Ministry of Justice did not specify how Glitter violated the terms of his release, though reports claimed he tried to access the Dark Web on a mobile phone. He added: ‘As far as Gadd is concerned, he is so dangerous and so fixated on his offending behaviour that he’ll never stop – he’s gone too far.‘He’s someone who’s always going to be a danger to children, quite frankly.’
Glitter rose to fame during the 1970s heyday of glam rock with hits such as Rock and Roll Part 2 – he would sell more than 20 million records.Yet his career crashed when he was arrested in 1999 and convicted of possessing more than 4,000 indecent pictures of children.
