In his instructional video, Ish shares: "Now, when it gets to this time of year, I have no issue with the squirrels foraging for food so they can get ready to store up ready for winter. For those looking for an economical solution, Ish suggests chilli flakes, which can be found at bargain prices, as an alternative deterrent. If you have large pots, adding a little spice to the soil could work wonders, according to Ish. He demonstrated this by putting a couple of chilli flakes on his hand and advised people to "lightly sprinkle" them over the top of the soil.
