Xbox chief Phil Spencer has hinted that price increases for Xbox consoles, games, and Game Pass could be on the horizon.
, the Xbox boss discussed the possibility of raising prices on Xbox consoles, games, and subscriptions, which unlike Sony and many other third-party publishers, Microsoft has managed to avoid so far."For us running the business, we have to look at the return on our business, the cost of the business," Spencer said.
"We've held price on our console, we've held price on games and our subscription. I don't think we'll be able to do that forever. I do think, at some point, we'll have to raise some prices on certain things, but going into this holiday, we thought it was really important that we maintain the prices that we have because consumers right now are more uncertain than they have been in a long time, and I want our medium of video games to be something that they find attractive.
