Gallants qualified for the quarter-finals, with a match to spare, for the first time in their history despite a 4-1 loss to Al-Akhdar in their last outing before the FIFA break.
Bahlabane Ba Ntwa remain at the top of Group A by a point and will be guaranteed that position if they secure maximum points this evening. Lupopo, on the other hand, are out of the running for the quarter-finals after they played to a 1-1 draw with USM Alger, who remained three points clear in second place and with a superior head to head record.
The Congolese side are lying third in the section with five points, equal on points with bottom side Al-Akhdar, who still have a chance of qualifying, as they go head to head with Alger in a game that will be played simultaneously.
