The funeral for Ridge Meadows RCMP Const. Rick O’Brien at his funeral in Langley next Wednesday.
The regimental funeral will include a procession and memorial service, including a final salute for O’Brien, who was killed on Sept. 22 when police executed a search warrant at a home in Coquitlam in relation to a drug investigation. Uniformed police officers and other first responders are expected to march in the procession going northbound on 202A Street from 76 Avenue towards the venue.
RCMP said there will be traffic delays and temporary road closures near the Langley Events Centre that day from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The following roads will be closed:• 202a Street, between 74B Avenue and 80 Avenue.
