Players and parents from Knowsley-based Mags Boca Under-13s will abseil down Anfield to raise funds for their team

A local football team are gearing up to take on the 100ft ‘Anfield Abseil’ to raise money for their club.

The team will be travelling straight to Anfield from their game when they complete the abseil on November 19, and since the page launched almost £900 has been donated.

Parent Hayley Marshall came up with the idea after looking for a birthday present for her son before suggesting that the whole team take part, and has since taken over the running of the GoFundMe page.
