The man behind a 'justice' fundraiser for Ellie Williams says he doesn't know what to do next after trying to retrieve thousands of pounds believed to have been sent to Williams' mum, Allison Johnston.

The only DNA on the weapon was hers, and supported by forensic experts, the prosecution was able to prove to the jury that the injuries were self inflicted.
Telling CumbriaLive about how he first came to know about Williams, he said: "[I was] tagged in a Facebook post written by Ellie Williams on May 20, 2020, in which she stated that she had been the victim of a grooming gang and presented photos of her injuries as well as text messages which she stated were from her alleged grooming gang.
Mr Yerrell says he's struggling to wrap his head around the 'total disregard and lack of concern that has been shown.' He added: "After three weeks of fighting for what's right and trying to get the money back I have failed to achieve that. This has had a knock-on effect on me and even started to change me as a person and the way I look at things.
