Liverpool Legends take on Ajax legends at Anfield on Saturday, March 23 at 3pm with a host one big-name stars taking part in the charity match
Liverpool icons Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres will once again line up at Anfield for the Reds when they take on Ajax on Saturday.
Gerrard and the Spain talisman almost fired Liverpool to their first Premier League title but fell short as they were pipped to the post by Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United in 2008-09. Gerrard would go on to enjoy other profitable partnerships with goal-getters on Merseyside following Torres' move to Chelsea, in the form of Luis Suarez.
Former England manager Sven Goran Eriksson will be in the dugout for the Reds, after Liverpool answered the demands of supporters following the Swede's terminal cancer diagnosis. Earlier this year, Eriksson opened up about his treatment, also revealing that he has been a lifelong Liverpool supporter - and one of his biggest regrets is not being in the dugout for the six-time Champions League winners.
