A number of schools have closed due to adverse weather conditions
A number of schools in Scotland will be closed today as a thick blanket of snow covers many parts of the country.
With areas in the north of the country now waking up to a second day of snowy weather, teachers have made the decision to close their doors. It comes as the north and northeast of the country is set to exit a two-day yellow warning for snow and ice. However, more central parts of Scotland will be placed under a further snow warning tomorrow at 3am.
As well as closures, the winter conditions could cause disruptions to travel. The Met Office has also said that interruptions to power supplies could occur over the next few days, while remote communities could become cut off.Full list of closed schools If your child's school is not on the list, you can check to see if it is closed due to adverse weather on the Government website.READ NEXT:
