Frustration mixed with opportunity for Polokwane City coach
Polokwane City coach Phuti Mohafe could be misjudged through his presence as a head coach on the bench of a Betway Premiership club.
Mohafe is no fashionable coach who feeds on the limelight but chooses to be careful with both his steps and choice of words.Based on the background of both his playing and coaching career, the Polokwane job has been his pinnacle to date, especially after guiding the Limpopo club to a Top Eight finish ahead of Kaizer Chiefs.
It will come after he negotiated his way to a better finish than both Steve Komphela’s Golden Arrows and Cavin Johnson last term. Mohafe took over the dressing room after Lehlohonolo Seema dumped the club with a face of disgruntlement in November, just a month after Duncan Lechesa also headed for the exit."The expectations will always be there, but what we are looking is the need to improve from every aspect of the team."This is an opportunity.
"With the trust and the belief of the management, I think we are still going to do that very well this season," says Mohafe. For 14 free days, you can have access to the best from Soccer Laduma, KickOff, Daily Sun, TrueLove and Drum.
