If you celebrate Easter, Happy Easter. If you don’t, pick your favorite holiday and accept salutations from me. Personally, any holiday that involves chocolate bunnies works for me.
Nowadays, the only gloves around our house are the rubber ones for washing dishes, and latex ones for doing whatever one needs to do wearing latex gloves. Let’s move on. So it’s a less eventful day than it used to be. Though in the past, I’ve filled plastic eggs with folding money and hid them around the house, that got the young ‘uns excited.I suppose I’ll get to start making Easter baskets again when he’s old enough to focus his eyes. Right now, he just eats, poops and drools. All in a completely adorable manner, you understand.
So, when they lined up all the kids for the egg hunt and said, “Go!” my son ran around at the approximate speed of light and grabbed up every egg, returning in nanoseconds. He handed me his basket proudly and, panting, said, “I got them all!”Disturbed, he looked at me as if I’d just told him to give his dessert to his sister. Sadly, I had to explain to him that he had to leave some eggs for the other kids to find.
