The City of Airdrie, now less than a 10-minute drive from Calgary’s northern boundary, has grown by 4,000 people since 2021
Now with a population of 82,000 and counting — three quarters of which are under the age of 50 — Airdrie’s newcomers have been keeping land developers and home builders on their toes as try to keep up with demand.
The builders are Castellano Custom Homes, Homes by Avi, Sterling Homes, McKee Homes and Douglas Homes. Product types include townhomes, duplex, laned and front-drive homes in a variety of price points.
The first phase of the Minto-exclusive community with its agri-hood theme will feature farmhouse-style single-family homes.Article content Sales manager Jamie McLachlin says McKee has built at least 3,000 homes in the past 35 years in Airdrie and will soon offer a new product for the first time. Vesta offers all product types in the community with an emphasis on multi-family homes such as the back-to-back three-storey townhomes priced from the high $300,000s.
