Fresh-faced Bafana show signs of potential brilliance
Fans got a first glimpse of how the team will play under Broos and it was clear that the Belgian is not afraid of making brave tactical decisions.
But the former Cameroon coach should be aware that South Africans are hard to please and failure to qualify for major tournaments could cost him his job.While this was a lukewarm start on the road to Qatar, it was a breath of fresh air to see so many new faces in the national team line-up. This was a combination not seen before in the national team and the trio showed promising signs of developing good synergy, although it might take some time.
Up against some familiar faces including Khama Billiat, Knowledge Musona and Kudakwashe Mahachi, Bafana were not overwhelmed by the big names and the occasion, and actually dominated the flow of the match.
