In a strange incident at OR Tambo International Airport, a French woman allegedly threw her dog over a third-floor balcony in the early hours of Friday morning. Authorities have since confirmed that the woman is now in a health facility, receiving medical care. Unfortunately, the dog sustained serious injuries and had to be euthanised.
“As the dog reaches her, the woman picks the dog up and callously throws it over the balcony railing.” de Lange said inspectors from the SPCA arrived at the scene and took the suffering dog into their care. She said the fall was not fatal, but that it left the dog severely injured and bleeding from the mouth. “At a nearby veterinary hospital, it was confirmed that the dog had sustained extensive internal injuries and was euthanised to end its suffering.
