A French man has been charged with the rape of a British woman near the Eiffel Tower, prosecutors have said. The suspect is accused of raping the woman - who is reported to be a policewoman in her 20s - in the Champ de Mars park in Paris earlier this week. According to the Le Parisien newspaper, the alleged attacker was armed with a weapon when he targeted the woman.
