The Federation of P.E.I. Municipalities and the P.E.I. Coalition for Women in Government has partnered to bring a series of municipal campaign schools for women. The school includes a session on Sept. 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Credit Union Place in Summerside. “The Federation of P.E.I. Municipalities has always been a strong supporter of women in politics, and we thank the P.E.I. Coalition for Women in Government for hosting this event,” said federation president Bruce MacDougall. “I look forward to seeing a strong showing of women seeking political office in the upcoming municipal elections.”Federation board member Debbie Johnston described her own municipal involvement as rewarding.
