'Free advertisement': EFF says mass deployment of law enforcement for shutdown is 'alarmist' | News24

The EFF is not deterred by the mass law enforcement deployment to strategic keypoints nationwide ahead of its planned shutdown. Instead, it believes the 'alarmist' measures are working in the party’s favour and would lead to an even larger turnout.

The EFF is not deterred by the mass deployment of law enforcement to strategic key points ahead of its planned shutdown. Instead, the party believes the"alarmist" measures taken by law enforcement are working in its favour as it will lead to an even larger turnout of citizens wanting to air their dissatisfaction.

Speaking to News24 on Sunday, the EFF's national spokesperson, Sinawo Tambo, said:"The alarmist manner in which the security cluster has acted in deploying law enforcement numbers comparable to those last seen during the state of emergency in 1985 to 1989 will not deter our people.Get 14 days free to read all our investigative and in-depth journalism.
