Frasier's decision to return to Boston allows the new show to bring the character full circle. While there's no clear indication that any of his old Cheers friends will appear in the show, the fact that he is back in the city where he was first introduced is expected to drum up nostalgia. This will be especially pivotal in terms of reconnecting with his son, with whom he's had a curious falling out in the last several years.
Frasier Revival Trailer Suggests That Freddy Has A Child The Frasier reboot trailer features the first proper look at Freddy's Boston apartment, which he apparently shares with his girlfriend, Jess. Unlike Frasier or Niles' flat in Seattle, his home is more modest, if not even a bit disorganized. However, certain elements in the space such as some baby toys and a baby carrier strongly hint that the couple shares a child.
Freddy's child will allow the Paramount+'s Frasier reboot to do something that the original series wasn't able to do and that is to develop a dynamic between a grandkid and grandparent. Since he lived in Boston with Lilith, Freddy only saw Martin whenever he would visit Seattle, which was once or twice a year. Meanwhile, when David was born, Frasier was already in its final episode, which didn't give the show a chance to actually see him spending time with the Crane patriarch.
