Frank Lampard is on the brink of becoming the new head coach of Coventry City , with the announcement potentially happening within the next 24 hours. Last week Lampard emerged as the favourite for the job according to bookmakers, and it now appears that the Sky Blues board are prepared to reveal their choice.
Lampard hasn't managed since leaving his interim position at Chelsea at the end of the 2022-23 season and is now ready to return to management. The Telegraph suggests that King has ties to Lampard's uncle, Harry Redknapp, and speculates that Lampard could even be at the helm for the home match against Cardiff City this Saturday.
"Edwards has been out of work since leaving Millwall but was previously part of Team Lampard at Chelsea and Everton.", reports Coventry Live.
