Shannon Sharpe's opinion of Warriors star Steph Curry's Finals MVP performance last season seems to have changed in less than a year.
While discussing the pressure the Dubs guard is under to perform well in the team’s upcoming Game 3, the former pro-turned-sports debate show host said Thursday on FS1’s “Undisputed” that Curry is actually bad when it counts. More baffling was the example Sharpe used to back his claim.
“The games that he shoots the ball really, really well, is that we become so in awe because he’s heat-checking from 35 [feet] that we overlook the games that he didn’t play well in the fourth quarter,” Sharpe said. “We go back and look at the Boston series — Skip, what was that, Game 4? — in which he goes for 43, but we overlook that he really didn’t, outside of that Game 4, he really didn’t really play great.
