An investigation is now under way into the cause of the crash, which happened on Lowery Road in Stanley, close to the village of Craghead, just after noon. Four people were taken to the University Hospital of North Durham as a precaution, Durham Police said, but no one was seriously injured. Officers closed the road while recovery specialists attempted to bring the bus upright, with members of the public urged to avoid the area.
