Four suspects were apprehended in connection with an armed robbery at Cash Crusaders in Johannesburg. Private security companies, police, and EMPD worked together to pursue the suspects, leading to the recovery of two firearms and stolen goods. Four suspects were caught, two firearms found and stolen goods recovered after private security companies, the police and EMPD jumped into action when they heard a report at about 11:35 yesterday that an armed robbery had taken place at Cash Crusaders, The Square, Rietfontein Road.
The security company confirmed a chase ensued and on the corner of Rietfontein and Madeley roads, the Corolla was intercepted at which point one of the suspects opened fire on Graphite units, prompting a return of fire.ALSO READ: Hefty sentence for attempted murder and robbery According to information from Graphite Security, their units found two suspects with a firearm at Maritz Sand & Stone and they, along with the firearm, were handed over to the EMPD.
