Four men charged after £100k cannabis and cash haul seized in Nelson and Blackburn
Four men have been charged after police uncovered two cannabis farms and seized drugs and cash worth around £100,000.
Officers in East Lancashire found the farms during raids at an industrial unit at the Eanam Industrial Park, Blackburn, and an address in Glenfield Street, Nelson. The searches were carried out on Monday and resulted in four people being arrrested. Lancashire Constabulary said the men, all from Rochdale, have since been charged with conspiracy to cultivate cannabis while one of the suspects is also accused of acquiring/using/possession of criminal property. They have been remanded to before before magistrates today .A force spokesperson said: "Four men have been charged in connection to the seizure of drugs and cash valued in the region of £100,000.
"Following consultations with the Crown Prosecution Service, Lech Sulic, 25, of Mornington Road, Rochdale, Deividas Zitinevicius, 19, of Hogarth Road, Rochdale, Arnold Verzinski, 29, of Ashfield Road, Rochdale, and Dariusz Chmiel, 43, of Mornington Road, Rochdale, have been charged with conspiracy to cultivate cannabis - a Class B drug.
"Verzinski has also been charged with acquiring/using/possession of criminal property. All four men have been remanded to appear before Blackburn Magistrates Court today ."
