Several players are looking for new clubs and free agents can sign up for anyone after the deadline.

Manchester United and their Premier League rivals will be hoping they do not have to rely on the bargain bin this summer, but there are some high-profile free agents still available for them to target.

Sergio Reguilon has, also, touched down at Old Trafford on loan from Tottenham as the stop-gap replacement for injured left-backs Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. As the clock ticks towards the 11pm cut-off, United are working on a follow-up deal for Sofyan Amrabat, but his proposed switch from Fiorentina comes with complications.

Eden Hazard: A non-starter for several reasons. United are well-stocked in attacking quarters, particularly on the left-hand side Hazard favours, while the former Belgium captain has hardly kicked a ball in anger since leaving the Premier League - and Chelsea - for Spanish giants Real Madrid four years ago. A return to London, with Palace, has been mooted and that is much, much closer to the level Hazard will need to be looking at.

Roberto Pereyra: We warned you the pickings were slim! Incidentally, several free agents have connections with United - namely David De Gea, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and others - but there is real dearth in high-quality names for Premier League clubs. Pereyra, 32, is no stranger to the UK following a 115-game spell at Watford and he carved out a decent career at Juventus and Udinese either side of his four years here.
