Four boys aged 12 to 14 have been arrested on suspicion of rape. Police have taped off an area of land near a Morrison's in Rochdale following the reported rape. Greater Manchester Police said officers were called at 6pm and a spokesman for the force said the victim is being supported. The Manchester Evening News reports that four suspects - boys aged 12, 12, 14 and 14, have been arrested on suspicion of rape and remain in police custody.

"Four boys aged 12, 13, 14, 14 have been arrested on suspicion of rape and remain in police custody. The victim is currently being supported by specialist officers." Witnesses were urged to come forward as the spokesman added: "A scene remains in place as officers continue their investigation
