Epic Games announced that many devices will not be compatible with Fortnite, starting with the v28.00 update.

Fortnite is an ever-changing game that keeps getting a couple of updates every month. Besides gameplay changes and cosmetic items, Epic Games also releases graphical updates from time to time. Due to this, many devices don’t meet the minimum requirements to run the videogame. The good news is that Fortnite is available on many different devices. From Android phones and PCs to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation.

After legal battles with Apple and Google, the popular video game is no longer available on the App Store and Google Play Store. Fortunately, Android players can still play it by downloading the game straight to their device, while iOS users can use cloud gaming. Starting with the v28.00 update, Fortnite players on Android 9 will no longer be able to play the game. The update, which will likely arrive in December, will require Android players to be on OS10 or higher.
