Fortnite Festival Season 7 kicks off with the addition of Hatsune Miku, granting players access to a Music Pass filled with unique outfits, instruments, and more. This season also sees the introduction of musical cosmetics usable in various game modes beyond the festival. Alongside these musical additions, a teaser trailer hints at the arrival of Godzilla, with rumours suggesting King Kong and Mechagodzilla will also join the battle.
King Kong and Mechagodzilla are rumoured to also appear in the game.Festival. Hatsune Miku joins many real artists that have shared this honour such as The Weeknd, Billie Eilish and most recently Snoop Dogg.
This change was promised some time ago so it’s nice to see it come to fruition. For many players the musical equipment was an afterthought at best and useless at worst for those who never touch the musical Festival part of the game. Now unlocking musical items comes with the chance that they will have uses in other Fortnite modes, giving them much more value to the average player.
Epic Games has finally given us a bit more about the collaboration in the form of a short teaser trailer you can watch above. It seems like Godzilla will appear on the map as a giant enemy that players will need to defeat.
