The riding’s current UCP candidate, incumbent MLA Tany Yao, would need to resign or be removed by the UCP before Mujahid can return as a candidate. Yao, who has started campaigning, declined comment when asked for comment. Thursday is the deadline for candidates to register with Elections Alberta.
