over a video of him speeding posted to TikTok, according to a report from the French arm of Motorsport.com.

The video, posted in 2020 and since deleted, apparently showed Cordeel doing 111 mph on a street with a 31-mph limit in his hometown of Temse, Belgium. He was found guilty by a tribunal, fined €3600 , and can reapply to get a new license in six months. It's unclear if losing his license puts his job in jeopardy.

F2 doesn't require its drivers to have a road license, though the FIA is big on promoting road safety. When contacted by Motorsport.com, F2 CEO Bruno Michel said he hadn't yet learned of Cordeel's license suspension and added that it would be discussed with the FIA.
