Speaking on the Sundowns pain, former striker Mphela said the 37-year-old Mokwena requires more time. “One more year is not bad. Give him one more year plus an ultimatum of what they want because it is easy for Sundowns to win domestic cups in the country. Give him one more year to prove himself in Africa and if he falls short then they can see what to do in the following year. He does deserve one more season, you never know what will happen.

“I think people are judging him based on the money spent in the team and Sundowns wants to win everything. You have a president who wants to win CAF and everything and he has spent a lot of money.“The last time they did it was with Pitso so give him one year, one more chance and take it from there,” the Sundowns legend concluded.
