A former Preston North End midfielder is tasked with finding a new club this summer following his release.
Former Preston North End midfielder Josh Harrop is a free agent once again after his contract at Cheltenham Town wasn't renewed. The 28-year-old joined the Robins on a short-term deal on January 22 but he won't be staying at Whaddon Road following their relegation from League One. He made 13 appearances after joining but 12 of those were as a substitute and he was unused in their final two matches.
In a message to Harrop and the other players released, Cheltenham Town said: “Everyone at the club would like to thank all of the departing players for their efforts and wish them the very best of luck in their future careers.” Harrop had a longer stint at Preston North End, spending five years as a player at Deepdale. He made 95 appearances in all competitions, scoring 13 goals and five assists after making the decision to leave Manchester United.
