Having left Orlando Pirates at the end of last season, the 44-year-old coach is back in football to do what he loves the most.
This was confirmed by FC Inter Turku on their website whilst also revealing what Almenara’s job entails.
This was before the duo moved to South Africa to join the Buccaneers as unknown coaches to local fans. “Strengthening scouting is part of Inter’s strategic development work, which aims to increase competitiveness. The club has recognized the need to invest significantly more in scouting, and the investments made support the club’s goals.”
“He has previously worked at Inter as assistant coach to José Riveiro and in player development roles. The coaching duo, familiar to Inter fans from 2019-2021, also worked together at South Africa’s Orlando Pirates before Almenara returned to Finland last summer.
