Former Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer has landed a new role in Europe. Full story ➡
Zinnbauer had been without a club since resigning from his post at DStv Premiership side Orlando Pirates in August last year but has now returned to coaching after being appointed as Lokomotiv Moscow’s new head coach on Thursday.
“We are glad to welcome Josef Zinnbauer to our team. As we planned, Lokomotiv is strengthening the coaching staff with a specialist with good experience in various championships,” club sporting director Thomas Zorn said in a“When inviting Josef, we also took into account that he has serious experience in working with young people and shares the principles of the game that we want to see played by Lokomotiv.
Prior to his spell with the Buccaneers, with whom he won the 2020 MTN 8 title, Zinnbauer led Swiss outfit St. Gallen and German Bundesliga side Hamburg, while he also previously coached the reserve sides of Hamburg and Karlsruher.
