The former McDonald’s unit in Watford High Street is now on the market after closing.
Described as “available now” by commercial property specialists Brasier Freeth, the leasehold only covers the ground floor of the building.
The fast-food giant said the decision to close the restaurant was “not taken lightly” but did not reveal the reason.The nearest McDonald’s is just down the high street opposite one of the entrances to atria Watford. When the store closed, a spokesman for the company said: “We are sad to confirm that one of our restaurants in The Parade closed permanently on Sunday, May 12.
“The decision to close the restaurant was not taken lightly and all members of staff have been offered employment in our other restaurants nearby.”
