A former Flower Mound council member was sentenced last week to life in prison after being convicted of multiple charges of child sex abuse.
A Denton County jury found James “Jim” Pierson, 82, guilty Friday of a continuous sexual abuse charge and four counts of indecency with a child under age 14. He was sentenced to life in prison for the first charge, 20 years each for three counts of indecency and 10 years for the final count, to be served concurrently, according to court documents.
