Mahachi – who most recently played for SuperSport United but has also done duty for Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Golden Arrows – has been back home in Bulawayo facing the courts regarding the matter. The 29-year-old has been facing allegations of scalding his four-year-old son – named Diego – with hot water and assaulting him.

On Friday, Bulawayo regional magistrate Mark Dziva acquitted Mahachi at the Tredgold Magistrates Court.
