The programme is set to deepen the work done over the past year with young men across South Africa to promote healthy relationships with masculinity and challenge the reality of femicide and violence against women and girls.“Young boys and children, like any other child, need guidance. If we leave them alone, we risk having these children going the wrong way and the many crimes that we see today are perpetrated by men.

“They are not able to do their homework on time, they cannot access their devices when they need to seek employment. All these things are stressful to young people. Even young people are living through the complexities of technology, everything we know about artificial intelligence is upon young people,” she said.

The What About The Boys programme was first rolled out last year across high schools and reached 15 000 boys through multimedia content.
