Bell was approved as the next wrestling coach at North Hunterdon on Tuesday night.
, with multiple sources close to the situation confirming the David Bell in question was indeed the longtime Bergen Catholic coach.
He takes over a North Hunterdon program that went 95-18 over the last six years under previous coach Chris Hrunka, with 12 state placewinners and Group 4 titles in 2020 and 2023. Hrunka was also the NJ.com Wrestling Coach of the Year for 2020., guided the Crusaders to 11 state titles with over 90 state placewinners in 25 years at the helm.
