Mounties say the 65-year-old woman was charged this week with fraud and theft over $5,000 after an investigation that lasted 2 1/2 years
The league reported the missing money to the RCMP in August 2020 and said in a statement then that it noticed the money missing when members didn’t receive their refund for the season
that had been cancelled by the pandemic.Sgt. Karrie Ellis with the Coquitlam RCMP says police worked diligently to gather evidence, identify and interview witnesses, and support charges.
